Four Seasons Los Angeles Wedding: A Photographer's Guide

The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is one of the city's most prestigious wedding venues — and one of the most photographically interesting. From the pool terrace to the garden ceremony space, every corner of this property has been designed with luxury in mind. That translates directly to beautiful imagery.

Here's what to know before you shoot — or book — a wedding at the Four Seasons LA.

The Venue at a Glance

The Four Seasons Los Angeles sits in Beverly Hills and caters to an upscale clientele expecting impeccable service and flawless logistics. For photographers and videographers, it offers:

  • A formal garden ceremony space with manicured hedges and natural light
  • Interior ballrooms with high ceilings, chandeliers, and warm ambient lighting
  • The rooftop pool terrace — a stunning location for cocktail hour
  • Private suites for getting-ready coverage with excellent window light
  • A location surrounded by Beverly Hills architecture for exterior portraits

The venue is experienced with photography teams and generally cooperates well with professional crews.

Best Locations for Photos and Film

Garden ceremony space. Ceremony coverage here is clean and formal. The backdrop has depth — hedges, trees, and architectural elements that give you something to work with without competing with the couple. Mid-afternoon ceremonies can have harsh overhead light; work with your couple on timing if possible.

Rooftop pool terrace. This is where cocktail hour often happens, and it's one of the best locations on the property. City views, reflective water, warm afternoon light. Portrait time here is efficient because the backgrounds do a lot of the work.

Getting-ready suites. The suites at the Four Seasons have excellent window light — large north-facing or west-facing windows that create soft, diffused natural light for bridal prep coverage. These are among the easiest interiors to shoot in Beverly Hills.

Ballroom. The ballrooms have chandeliers and high ceilings that photograph well. Reception coverage here requires good off-camera lighting or the ability to work with available light — the chandeliers add warmth but can't carry a room on their own.

What Makes This Venue Challenging

Restricted exterior access. The venue is embedded in Beverly Hills residential and commercial streets. Exterior portrait locations outside the property require coordination and sometimes permits. Know your options before the day.

Strict vendor timelines. The Four Seasons is efficient and expects the same from vendors. There's no wandering away from the schedule. Build in buffer time for portraits, or communicate with the coordinator about any flexibility before the wedding day.

Photography restrictions. Some areas of the property — including near the pool and certain public areas — have restrictions during non-private hours. Confirm with the venue coordinator exactly where and when you're permitted to shoot.

What to Ask the Four Seasons Before You Book

  • Which areas are exclusive to our event, and which are shared with hotel guests?
  • Are there restrictions on tripods, lighting equipment, or drones on the property?
  • What is the load-in time for vendors, and where do we park?
  • Is there a designated getting-ready suite included in the package?
